Directions to SF State Downtown Campus
In January 2008, San Francisco State University's Department of Public Administration relocated to a new downtown campus at 835 Market Street (between 4th and 5th Streets at Powell), Fifth Floor. All classes and office operations for the MPA department are conducted at this location in the Westfield San Francisco Centre.
This exciting location is the historic site of the old San Francisco Emporium, best known for its eye-popping glass ceiling atrium, which has been preserved and now adorns the building. This dynamic environment in the heart of downtown is directly above the Powell Street BART and Muni stations.

**To make your way to the Public Administration offices, as you come off the elevator on the 5th floor, head away from Market Street. You will notice a sign near the restrooms which directs you to a long hallway. The department's offices are at the end of that hallway**

We are located directly off Highways 101, 280, and 80
- From the North
Take the Golden Gate Bridge to the Lombard Exit. Turn right on Van Ness Avenue, left on Eddy to Market Street. - From the East
Take Highway 80 (Bay Bridge) to the Fifth Street/Downtown exit. Continue on Fifth Street to Market Street. - From the South
Take 101 North to the Seventh Street exit. Turn right on Bryant, left on Fifth Street, and right on Market Street. Or take 280 North to Sixth Street. Turn right on Brannan, left on Fifth, and right on Market Street.

Sign SF State on the back of your parking ticket. Show your SF State ID card at the window when returning to your car. You will receive a discounted ticket to use in the automatic payment machine.

- Take 6th Street exit off 280
- Take 6th Street to O'Farrell (6th Street becomes Taylor as you cross Market Street)
- Turn Right on O'Farrell; move to left-hand lane
- Garage is on the left-hand side on the next corner, Mason Street
