This is the last photo sequence that was shot at EMB, Justin Herman Plaza, before it was torn down. Along with every major skateboarding magazine, Slap commemorated the loss. Redevelopment era public spaces are notoriously unpopular, and the fact that the skateboard community sincerely mourned the passing of Justin Herman Plaza gives an idea of how deeply connected redevelopment and skateboarding are.
