Teaching:
Rita Melendez
teaches at San Francisco State University's Sexuality Studies
Department. We offer undergraduate minors in LGBT studies as
well as Sexuality Studies) and an MA
degree in Sexuality Studies. Rita teaches Research Methods for
first year graduate students as well as Professional Development
for second year MA students.
This year Dr. Melendez
taught Sexuality, Ethnicity and Health (HMSX 601). To see the

also teaches Sex, Power and Politics (HMSX 455)an undergraduate course
that covers a number of contemporary, political issues
surrounding sexuality such as power relations between men and
women, alternative sexualities, the law and sexuality,
