Rita Melendez is
an Associate Professor at San
Francisco State University and the Chair of Sexuality
Studies. She is a Research Scientist at the
Center for Research on Gender
and Sexuality. Her research and community work aim to help
women stay healthy, safe from HIV, and to empower themselves
through work and relationships.
