For many people recycling is a part of everyday life. Some have the luxery of curbside recycling pickup, others must haul their own to the recycling center. For recycling to work, everyone has to participate in each phase of the loop. From government and industry, to organizations, small businesses, and people at home, every American can make recycling a part of their daily routine. Everyday thousands of pounds of garbage go to landfills. Much of this has the potential for reuse, and most can be recycled. As part of a sustainable future, we all must recognize what we can do to make recycling work.
