Unit Requirements - New Psychology Major

Modification of requirements to fulfill the new major

Due to the budget cuts a number of psychology courses have been cancelled for the Fall semester. (Please consult the current class schedule for updates). In order to insure that our majors will be able to graduate in a timely fashion, we have modified the basic and breadth requirements of the new major on a temporary basis in the following ways:

  1. Core requirements remain unchanged, for a total of 11 units
  2. For the Basics course requirement, take 4 courses listed as "basic" courses in any of the 4 content areas, for a total of 12 units
  3. For the Breadth requirement, take 6 additional courses, either listed under "breadth" or "basic", in any of the 6 areas, for a total of 18 units

The total number of units for the new major remains 41 units.

For designation of core, basic and bredth courses see description below. Requirements that have been modified are italicized.
