STEP 2)

Complete the UNIVERSITY APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION
The application for graduation is now available on the web: http://www.sfsu.edu/~admisrec/ gradapp/ga.htm. (There may be a few printed copies of the application available on campus, but students are being referred to the on-line form.)

On the MAJOR page, please list courses in order.

Example, list courses in this order: PSY 200, PSY 371, PSY 400, Area 1, Area 2 etc... on the form.

You will need three signatures on the major page and any minor page (if applicable). Signatures for minors are obtained from the department granting the minor. The three signatures are:

1.) your signature

2.) faculty advisor's signature (any full-time faculty in Psych)

3.) The Department Chair.- drop application in EP 301 for Department Chair's signature.

When you have obtained all signatures and have completed an exit survey for the department (and have submitted a copy of your application to the department), you can go to the Cashier's Office and pay the $40.00 fee. Check the class schedule or the Bulletin for any changes in fees.
With a stamped (cashier's stamp) and properly signed application, submit the completed application to the Registrar's Office.

A copy of your application will be returned to you before the semester is over, indicating the results of a preliminary evaluation of your academic record. Final approval will not be given until the end of the semester and after grades have been turned in. You will not graduate if you have not met all the requirements: GE, Segment III, JEPET, Library, Major (and minor -- if you elected a minor), a minimum of 120 semester units and at least a 2.0 GPA in your major and overall. You also will not graduate if you do not complete all the classes you indicated as in-progress or if you have any incompletes that have not been resolved by the end of the semester.

The only thing left undone is your successful completion of your final semester as an undergraduate. If you have any questions regarding the application for graduation process, please e-mail psych@sfsu.edu or stop by the Department Office, EP 301.
