Graeme Boushey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political
Science, where he teaches courses in American politics, California and state
politics, public policy, and research methodology. His research focuses on
public policy processes and political decision-making in American federalism.
Currently he is working on a book exploring the process of policy innovation
and diffusion in the American states.
Graeme’s teaching and research are organized around practical and theoretical
questions of state and federal policy-making. He recently coauthored a review
of individual and organizational decision-making for the Handbook of Public
Policy. He has also co-authored an article in the Journal of Comparative
Public Policy on immigration policy in federations, exploring current approaches to immigration control and integration policy in the United States,
Canada, and the European Union.
Graeme was born and raised in San Francisco. He graduated from the University
of California, San Diego, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle. Between college and graduate school he taught middle
school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana through the Teach for America program. He is
a lifelong Giants and 49ers fan. |
