Awarded Brooklyn College MacGregor Award "for the administrator who has done the most for students" by the undergraduate student government of Brooklyn College; June, 1993.

Selected as an American Council on Education Fellow for 1991-1992 at Haverford College, Haverford, PA. June, 1991.

Elected President, Rho Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa of Brooklyn Col.lege; 1986-1988.
