Department of International Relations

Advising is essential to ensure that you are meeting all the requirements for graduation. It is recommended that you visit with an advisor every semester during your studies. There are various sources for advising here on campus and in the IR Department. For General Education advising click on the "General Ed Advising (SFSU)" link. If you are an International Relations major, it is very important that you choose an advisor from our faculty advising list. You may find their office hours and contact information by clicking on the "Faculty & Staff" link above. Please be sure to inform your advisor of which bulletin year you began your studies here at SFSU, so the proper requirements are met. For your bulletin year requirements click on "SFSU Bulletins" link.

For Graduate students, the Graduate Advisor for 2007/08 is Professor Jean-Marc Blanchard. His office hours, location and contact information are also listed under the "Faculty & Staff" tab above.
