Students of History The
History Students Association (HSA) The History Students Association plans events, discussions and workshops which help history students to plan for careers and graduate school, to explore opportunities for internships, interdisciplinary study, and other programs, to hear about current research being conducted by faculty and students, and to present their own work in a friendly setting. The History Students Association (the HSA) is funded by Associated Students and open to undergraduate and graduate students. To get on our email list, send us a message at hsa@sfsu.edu. Phi Alpha Theta Founded in 1921, Phi Alpha Theta has, as its primary purpose, the recognition of exemplary work by college and university history majors. Membership in Phi Alpha Theta should be listed among other academic honors when applying to graduate or professional schools or when applying for employment in a history-related field. Kappa Phi chapter at SFSU was founded in 1965. To qualify for membership according to the criteria established by the national council, undergraduate students must meet four conditions:

EX POST FACTO- The Journal of the History Students Association-- is the journal made up of student papers produced by the History Students Association which is published in the Spring of each year.
