This website serves as a portal for the people, projects and courses related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) at San Francisco State University.

The Geographic Analysis Teaching Lab (GATL) was established in 1995 with the objective to serve the teaching needs of the Department of Geography. Since the time the laboratory opened its doors, it has become the focal point of students who are exposed to geographical concepts through hands-on problem solving. Nowadays its facilities are also used for training groups of students in specified topics of spatial analysis. The GATL offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate and professional education courses, as well as, advice on research strategies and methods
