The Economics Graduate Program The Department of Economics offers an MA program in Economics. You can consult the University Bulletin for a description of the economics graduate program. The total number of units required is 30 and it normally takes one year and a half to two years to complete the required units, depending on the student’s preparation prior to admission. Most of the graduate courses are offered during late afternoon or evening hours so that it is possible to complete the program while maintaining full-time or part-time employment. To apply for admission, you are required to submit the following to both the graduate division and the Department graduate coordinator Professor Lisa Takeyama: · Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, · Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score for the general test, and · Two or more letters of recommendation, preferably from undergraduate professors the applicant has taken courses with or worked with in some capacity.
