The Economics Department offers a B.A. and M.A. in Economics. We are a medium-sized department with approximately twelve full time faculty members. We strive for excellence in teaching and also have a wide variety of research interests in various applied fields in economics.

Economics Graduation Reception: Economics Graduation Reception [pdf] will take place on Saturday, May 19, 3:30-5:00pm, in HSS 143. RSVP by May 14 by sending an email to econ@sfsu.edu.
Mandatory advising: Economics majors must meet with an Economics Faculty Advisor (faculty office hours [pdf]) before they can register for Fall 2012. See the mandatory advising flyer [pdf] for more details.
Participate in Economic Experiments: Prof. Chernomaz will be conducting a series of economic experiments over the course of this academic year. If you are interested in participating you can add your name to the database of potential participants.
Job Search Seminar: Meet two economics alumni who will talk about internship and employment opportunities in the companies they represent as well as tricks of job search in general. Time and date: Friday, February 3, 1:30pm, BUS 202.
