Your midterm exams will take place on Tuesday, October 2 and Thursday, November 1.
Your first midterm exam will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions. You are required to bring a Scantron form #882 to the exam session.
Your second midterm exam will consist of 4 short essays. You will be provided with a list of 10 terms from which you will discuss 4 of your choosing. I will pick the 10 terms from the list that appears below under the title "SECOND MIDTERM EXAM." Each essay-style identification should consist of 1 to 3 paragraphs, depending on the nature of the topic, in which you must provide a clear description of what or whom you are identifying, while placing the person or place or thing or event in its historical context in such a way as to indicate its significance.
