CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY GRADUATE PROGRAM

Prerequisites:  Preparation in psychology, or in other fields that emphasize an understanding of human functioning, such as fields that deal with specialized forms of human expression and experience.  Preparation should include course work in psychological statistics, research methods, personality theory, and abnormal psychology.  Course work in developmental psychology and cultural perspectives is desirable.  Preparation should also include experience working directly with people in a helping or service-oriented situation.  Acceptance into the program is based on evidence of interest in working with people and capacity for such work and interest, motivation and capacity to make use of graduate level academic work and professional training.  We assess these qualities by looking at your experience working with people in a clinical, research or community setting, personal awareness portrayed through statement of purpose, transcripts of previous coursework, GRE scores, and letters of recommendation.

It is required that applicants submit Graduate Record Examination scores, general test portion only.  GRE scores can be up to five years old (maximum).
