internship program
This internship program offers students the opportunity to contribute
to the development of a regional humanities center located at
San Francisco State University. The Pacific West
Center is affiliated with the National Endowment for the Humanities
and is seeking undergraduate and graduate level interns to assist in
implementing its vision. By assessing humanities resources in the
Pacific West region and helping in the day-to-day operations of a
humanities center, interns will put to use and expand their skills in
the humanities, social sciences, communications, and business.
There are two types of internships. Research Level I interns work for
6 hours per week. Research Level II interns work for 9 hours per
week. Interns will receive 2 or 3 units of independent study credit (699/899) in
Anthropology, American Studies, or an allied field; or credit for HIST 680/880 depending on the level of internship.
