Catching young Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout from scour pools in "The Scour".

Salmon and Steelhead live and "hang out" in pools in the creek bottom created by under currents
Carolyn Shoulders, the head of the Redwood Creek Project, overseeing the dewatering process.

The Creek was dammed with orange sandbags. Observe the hoses and pipes rerouting the creek.
"The Scour" after logjam instillation. More than twnety logjams were used for this section of the creek.

The logjams simulate fallen trees whose roots naturally created pools for fish and helped to break swift creek currents during rains.
Young Coho Salmon hanging out in a scour pool between "The Scour" and the "Bowling Alley".

Redwood Creek is the Southern-most watershed on the Pacific Coast to support Coho Salmon.
