How
to set up an SFSU Email Account and Forward It To Your Outside Account
How to Setup a New SFSU Email Account
It's very easy to setup a new SFSU email account. In fact, you can do
it right here and now from this web browser and best of all, it's totally
free. Before you can sign up, you will need:
SFSU ID number (typically your Social Security Number)
4-digit PAC Code (the same as you use for signing up for courses through
Touch Tone)
If you have those in hand or in mind, you can proceed to the web link
below, fill-out the form provided and within 2 hours, an Internet account
will be created for you which includes an email address and 2mb of space
for web pages (**see below). Before you sign-up keep in mind:
Think of what you want your email name to be (remember you are going
to have to give this to people so don't embarass yourself).
Remember that the password you create must be at least 8 characters with
one number included in those first 8 characters (such as "abcdefg1")

How to Have SFSU Email Forwarded to Another Email Account
If you regularly use an outside email account such as AOL, Earthlink
or another ISP, it would still be wise to setup your SFSU account and
just have it forwarded to your current account. That way, you won't have
to check for your SFSU mail, it will come to you. This is especially helpful
to your professor's who are provided an automated way to send email to
their entire class but it will only allow for that to be sent to SFSU
email addresses.
